Standards Development And Instructional Design Department

In a world of rapid technology change and an increasing demand for quality training, it is of utmost importance to constantly liaise with industry and other stakeholders and foster their participation in the development process of quality training programmes and valid assessment tools.

Against this background, the Department for Standards Development and Instructional Design (SDID) facilitates the process of national competency unit standards (occupational standards) and qualifications development, which reflect the requirements of the world of work of today and the future.

In order to enable a smooth and coherent training delivery the Department for SDID is also responsible for developing and maintaining competence-based curriculum, training manuals and training delivery guides on a national level.
