The Namibia Training Authority (NTA) welcomes the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports and Arts’ announcement on the phased rollout of the Subsidized Tertiary Education and Training Funding Model for public institutions.
The model introduces full tuition and registration subsidies for eligible students and trainees, particularly those pursuing studies in priority fields. This reform marks a key step toward expanding equitable access to quality vocational and higher education across Namibia.
As the national regulator and funder of TVET, the NTA is committed to supporting the successful implementation of this initiative and strengthening a sustainable skills pipeline that contributes to Namibia’s socio-economic development.
