In a continued effort to expand access to quality Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), the Namibia Training Authority has provided N$1 million in funding support to the Namibian Correctional Service (NCS).

The contribution will enable the procurement of tools, equipment, and machinery for accredited vocational training programmes at the Windhoek Correctional Facility, empowering inmates with practical skills in trades such as welding, joinery, clothing production, and horticulture.

The CEO of the Namibia Training Authority ( NTA ) recently met with Mr Clive Willemse a distinguished Namibian leader renowned for his contributions to youth development, community Empowerment. Pastor Clive Willemse is one of the Founding members of the National Youth Service NYC of Namibia. As a youth Development Practitioner he is a trailblazer in Juvenile Justice reform in Namibia through his organisation Change of Lifestyle Home Projects

Ps Clive Willemse partner and his Company Niro Education partner with the NTA during the World skills Competition by rendering Psychosocial Support and Councilling services to the participants. They also did Career Career Guidance outreach to Various TVET centres in the past .

This meeting underscores the shared commitment to Fostering youth development and community engagement in Namibia.

Brazil has expressed its willingness to collaborate with the Namibia Training Authority and share its wealth of experience and proficiency, especially as it relates to potential strategic TVET partnerships in the development of technical and vocational skills for the energy sector.

It contributes to the establishment of an effective and sustainable system of skills formation aligned with the needs of the labour market and which provides the skills required for accelerated economic development.
