The Board of the Namibia Training Authority has, in terms of Section 15 (1) (c) of the Vocational Education and Training Act, No. 1 of 2008, established 10 Industry Skills Committees (ISCs), to assist the Board to meet the requirements for key industry sectors. These committees represent a vast range of industry sectors and advise the NTA on specific training needs, the content of qualifications and opportunities for job attachment and work based training.
Once a year, the NTA invites stakeholders from various industries for a one day platform that facilitates discussions with respect to topics such as:
The stakeholder information and opinions expressed will play an important part in updating the existing Skills Development Plan thereby creating a relevant and vibrant training future for Namibian industries.
Members of the public with a pertinent interest in the skills development are invited to attend the scheduled forums as follows:
