PUBLIC INVITATION: TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (TVET) SKILLS DEVELOPMENT FORUMS
The Board of the Namibia Training Authority has, in terms of Section 15 (1) (c) of the Vocational Education and Training Act, No. 1 of 2008, established 10 Industry Skills Committees (ISCs), to assist the Board to meet the requirements for key industry sectors. These committees represent a vast range of industry sectors and advise the NTA on specific training needs, the content of qualifications and opportunities for job attachment and work based training.
Once a year, the NTA invites stakeholders from various industries for a one day platform that facilitates discussions with respect to topics such as:
- Forum Synopsis
- Labour Market Outlook: Lessons Learned from TVET National Graduate Survey
- Funding Opportunities for Employers
- Training Modalities
- Sector-Based Round Table Discussions
The stakeholder information and opinions expressed will play an important part in updating the existing Skills Development Plan thereby creating a relevant and vibrant training future for Namibian industries.
