In an effort to garner the buy-in of industry stakeholders, the Namibia Training Authority, through its ten Industry Skills Committees (ISCs), is to embark on a series of countrywide industry fora to engage stakeholders in the validation of skills priorities captured in the Skills Development Plan for the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Sector II (2021-25).
The first meetings are scheduled to take place next week at Keetmanshoop on 9 March 2021 and Otjiwarongo on 12 March, respectively; and concludes with a last meeting in the capital on 30 March 2021.
Established in 2008 – following the promulgation of the Vocational Education and Training Act, Act 1 of 2008 – the NTA continues to grow in leaps and bounds; firmly starting to live up to its multi-faceted mandate as a regulator, funder and service provider of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (T)VET).
