As part of its ongoing endeavour to ensure compliance and conformity, the Namibia Training Authority invites VET Levy-registered employers, as well as non-registered employers with an annual payroll of N$1,000,000.00 and above, to attend information sharing meetings.

According to the Manager: Levy Collections, Ms. Genette Hamunyela, the purpose of the meetings is to grow stakeholder understanding of the purpose of the VET Levy.

“From a registration and payment perspective, the meetings are to focus on a wide range of aspects including the declaration and submission of monthly returns, interest and penalties. We are also to focus on aspects pertaining to the deactivation and deregistration of levy accounts, as well as exemptions”, she stressed.

On her part, Manager: Employer Training Grant, Ms. Veripi Kangumine highlighted that the NTA has extended the statutory annual deadline for the submission of Employer Training Grant (ETG) applications for the April 2022 to March 2023 cycle, from 1 May 2023 to midnight, 30 June 2023.

“All ETG applications for this particular cycle are to be submitted manually. The manual submission process requires employers to complete an application form and append copies of training evidence, thereto. We look forward to engaging employers and to share information on the submission of ETG claims, including the required evidence aspect.
